What style of whisky is Hatozaki?
Hatozaki whiskies are all made from blended malts sourced from distinct world whiskies and aged in different casks including ex Bourbon. It’s also non-chill filtered which adds a rich mouthfeel to the whisky.
Is Hatozaki Whisky made in Japan?
Our whiskies are blended and aged in Japan, at our home in Akashi city, and comprised of world and Scotch whiskies.
Is our whisky chill-filtered?
No, Hatozaki is neither chill-filtered nor is any caramel added to ensure a smooth mouthfeel and natural colour.
What gives whisky its colour?
Whisky is aged in barrels and the interaction between the whisky and the barrel over time imparts a golden colour to the spirit which is intensified depending how long it is in cask.
Is our whisky vegan and gluten free?
Yes, Hatozaki is 100% vegan and gluten free.
